The Overlook Apartment evolved over a number of years and uses. Originally built in 1958 as a storage room and occasional summer "brave employee" quarters (it was called the Gorilla Room because the ceiling was so low no one could stand up in it) and didn't become a resort accommodation until 1987. My son, Rob, named it for its deck
and spectacular view high above Oak Creek. Quite comfortable, one room studio apartment style with a Queen bed and gas-log fireplace. The bathroom has a shower. Please, no pets in The Overlook.
